On the version screen it says 29mb ram (free: 0.5 MB) onmy one v2 that is. Wondering what is internal ram used for and what happens when there is no left over memory? I often find that I go down to .1 mb sometimes 0.0.

POIs take up memory, that I know and so does calcuations.

I routinely see 0.0MB free. Right now, I only have restaurants and gas stations on (as well as custom) and I'm at 0.2. Add any more built-in POIs and the free RAM will plummet.

64MB of the Go510, Go910 is nicer than the One (32MB).
Once I did a route from Montreal to CA against a Garmin C510.
TomTom finished in a minute or so, the Garmin spinned in a loop then quit after 15min.
But the 1G SD card delivered with the Go510 is ridiculous.
