Internal memory crapped. V4

hi all:
I just bought a tt1 V4 (1G internal memory with sd slot and bluetooth). Then i installed the tomtom home and try to install some voice to the device. The internal memory just go crapped after i unplug the usb. I tried with a SD card it works fine. If i remove the sd card and only use the internal memory when connected with computer, it can display the new drive but ask me to format it and i can't format it.
So what should i do? how can i get it formated?i format the SD card with a card reader. please help! . Do you suggest me use sd card?

i already figure out format it with the disk management tools in windows. not from the right click menu. restore my backup now.

Let us know if the restore helps the internal memory.

the restore works fine. but I have another same gps (i bought 2 , 1 for my friend) and have the same issue. I can't format it even with the disk managment tools.

i tried with another computer running on vista. now it's formatted just fine.
so 2 gps fixed.

anyone can't format tomtom one internal memory by the system format tools can try this hp usb format tools. it works for me.
