Idiot deleted my ttsystem file

Just got a tomtom go 550 yesterday, was disappointed about having no mp3 player and Ive been trying to install a third party media player.

Well when I copied the media player files over I replaced my original ttsystem file with another, now my tomtom will freeze on the startup image.

I managed to get it turned off and connected to my map, I can access the internal memory but I do not know how to get back the ttsystem file that was there before. I tried updating through home but no joy.

Guess you've learned a lesson about making a backup, especially an Explorer backup, prior to doing anything.

Anyway, you can use Explorer to delete all the loose files in the root of the unit, NO folders or their contents. Then connect the unit to Home; it'll recognize the application is missing and offer to download and install a fresh version of the application.

Do so, install, and then make an Explorer backup of the unit's contents.
