How many POI come with a new 630?

Hello folks,

I have searched online and even at the tomtom.com to find out how many POI are loaded onto the 630 when it is purchased NEW (not recertified or refurb).

all the information seems to say 'millions' ........ ok.

how many million?

when other units in side by side comparison show 3 or 5 or 7 million, the 630 only says MILLIONS.

what is up with that?

does anyone know the number?

i am considering making my first GPS purchase and am strongly considering the 630 but feel I might be disappointed if it only comes with 3 million and the industry standard seems to be 5-7 now.

I have not heard TomTom ever advertise the exact number of POIs provided on any of their units. They usually adjust the number of POIs to align with the amount of memory available in the unit. The GO930 appears to have the most because they have 4GB of internal memory and therefore have more space for additonal POIs.

The 630 has the mid-range level of Tomtom POI.

The high-end level is available on the 920, 930, 140 or 340.
