Hello all

Just got the TT Rider (Model# 4GD00) and am trying to learn how best to use it for motorcycle trips.

I've been told that to "force" the unit to do what you want (stay on a certain pre-planned itinerary), you need to establish a series of way-points along that route.

As a general rule, about how many way-points are needed?

Also, is there a way to force the TT to follow a certain route whether it is the SHORTEST, FASTEST or MOST ECONOMICAL or not. Sometimes I just want to go a certain way.

Thank you

4GD00 would be, I'm pretty sure, the "Rider 5". This is one of the most recent models and handles both *.itn files and *.gpx track files of thousands of points. The Rider 5 manual recommends keeping *.itn waypoint counts down to 100 or less per file (see page 38), but you can always create multiple files and execute one after another if need be.
