my tomtom go 700 has fouled up i been reading on the internet that you format the hard drive and re-install the software but my back up is currupt does anyone one know where i can download this software and map again the lastest one one be a bonus

If you do not have a proper backup of your unit's contents, then the only alternative to obtaining a LEGITIMATE map is by purchasing it from TomTom using the Home application which can be gotten from TomTom's website.

If you make an Explorer, not Home, backup of your unit's contents and then remove all the loose files in the root of the unit, Home will offer you the latest application for your unit when you connect it to Home. The application is free.

Any discussion of hacked or illegal maps/software (seems to me that's what you're implying in your post) is not open for discussion in this or any legitimate gsp forum.
