ok peeps, just been givena tomtom one and im totally new to this all lol
been reading loads but im still unsure on what version i have and what to do

app 6.501(7460/060904)
gps v1.21 boot 4.81
united_kingdom_and_republic_of)ireland v660.1199

do i need to update the firmware at all?
can i downlaod the usa and canada maps myself of the torrent site and install them?

like i said im a total noob but im reading on

What number is on the little sticker on the bottom of your TomTom? The information in the firmware won't tell us what we need to tell you what version of the ONE (V1, V2, LE, V3) you have.

As far as updating, I would simply connect to the PC and Use TomTom HOME's UPDATE MY ONE button to see if there is any new firmware.

number in brackets is (4N00.0042) or do u need the other sticker info
ive downloaded all the maps for the tomtom one and they all would fit on the 1gig sd card that came with it except the north america one,does the tomtom one support 2 gig sticks?
