Hi, just purchased the go camper max and inputted all the correct details re vehicle and caravan dimensions and weights etc but no matter what I input the screen always displays “ route does not comply with your vehicle profile”. then “ this route includes roads that are not suitable for commercial vehicles or your current gross vehicle weight”. This comes on for a couple of seconds then goes off.. is this normal?
Can anyone help as to where i am going wrong please?

Hi

Have you downloaded all the maps for your route?
Have you downloaded the ferry map?

If your GPS turns on for a few seconds then turns off, is your GPS charged, is it connected to the cigarette lighter charger supplied with the GPS?

Hi Willy875.
Thank you for your answer, everything is updated, uploaded etc.
Sorry, I didn’t explain myself properly re the message on the screen and the ‘vehicle not complying’ is the one that comes on then goes off not the actually screen. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Does this happen for ever route you try to plan?

Does the device actually produce a reasonable route for your vehicle type in spite of the messages, or does it refuse to plan the route?

By ANY chance, I wonder, does the device see the road at your starting point as a problem? For example, if you've been trying to plan a route only from your home or perhaps your business, it is possible that map data indicates a problem right at the beginning.

If you get your device out on a main road and try to plan to the same destination, does it then succeed without the error messages?

A fellow user had a similar issue recently where he had disabled 'unpaved roads', and the device, set up as a regular 'car', thought his house was ON an unpaved road. He could never get the device to plan a route - it would always display 'No Route Found'!
