Hello,
I have a Camper Max 7"YC6... GPS device and I wanted to know how to limit the gradients of the road. Because my camper has difficulties when the gradient exceeds 17%?
Unfortunately it is apparently not possible to get an answer from your chatbot or human chat partner.
Could it be that your navigation systems only have 2D maps?
That would be an explanation that the route type "Efficient" plans very bad routes in hilly areas. Since in this mode he plans the path closest to the crow flies, over the highest passes only save 1 additional kilometer through the tunnel.

Thank you for your answer

Guten Tag,

Could it be that you think that you are here at TomTom???? It is not so!
So this road (35%) would be insurmountable for your WoMo!
I do not know the Max but I know all truck navis and there you can also enter no slope or gradient limit! Can not imagine that should go with the camper! Where a truck on the slope with the right speed can be held without brakes, your camper certainly not. That do not make your brakes with!

Hi Siggi
"Could it be that you think that you are here at TomTom???? It is not so!"
Yes i know Thanks to reply anyway.
I am on a Point where I reach for straw.

The braking power is not a problem as we have very strict rules in Switzerland, but the engine only has 75 hp and the RV weighs three and a half tons.

It is very stupid that the Camper navigation device cannot take the inclines into Account.
On the TomTom homepage you can very well switch on the inclines directly or indirectly, but it doesn't work with the device.
So i will try to return it.

Do You know is there any device that can Do inclinations limits.

Thanks a lot

I do not know of any device where you could enter slope limits! But I like to be taught, I know by far not all devices! I think that you can not set anything except in the profile setting. Basic requirement is of course that a motorhome map is installed! Here is the manual that you know but certainly already!

Thank You,
and You are right i have the Manual.
I found out when You put it a RV with over 7 tons it changes and it Take the direct Route. I Tried it and it solved the known steep arreas.

Hey anyway, i wish You a great New Year

I was in the summer with a Detlefs on the road, also with only 75 hp but only 2, 8 tons. But I did not have to cope with particularly large gradients. I used my truck device for navigation.
I also wish a happy and especially healthy new year!

75hp? What does Detleff make with that small an engine?
Even their little Globevan is 130hp!

The WoMo has already many years on the hump. I was only on the road with the because it was imposed on me! Stands with my neighbor only around, he never has time to drive it! Is professionally with a truck workshop with 40-50 employees always in stress! I do not know now exactly how old it is, but at least 10 years. The 75 hp I have been told, I have not looked into the papers myself!

My 1972 220D auto had 59 hp and accelerated reasonably. The 1/3 increase for the 1976 300D auto to 79 hp was heaven. Starting in first gear, no one caught me at legal city speeds from a green light
Mind you, we were talking different weights as compared to a camper.

We celebrate tonight together New Year's Eve, I ask again how much the Fiat Ducato base had! From the Globebus there are yes incredibly many variants. The biggest change for me was that I had to use my left foot again. :) Am automatic driver in the car as well as in the truck! ;)

We’re thinking of getting the camper also for any future camping expeditions.

Can I ask if it shows campsite ratings or just POI?

You can select by campsite 'lists' (e.g., ADAC, ANWB or NKC), but no reviews are shown.
