GO 910 wont light up

everything seems to work except it wont light up, the dark and light adjustments dont seem to affect it in any way, so the screen appears quite dark although everything appears, no shiny bright vivid colors whatsoever. any help would be appreciated, thanks, mike

Go to Change Preferences/Brightness Preferences then uncheck the 'Turn brightness down when dark'. Also boost the 'Day color brightness'.

thanks lec for the input but the problem still exists. I actually put a lightbulb up close to it just to be able to do the tests. basically ,no illumination

Sounds like you have a backlight problem. In that case, there's nothing you can do. Return it for servicing.

Assuming you have not altered the color configuration and you have the preferences all set for day so you can see it contact support. Sometimes they can help. If it is a backlight problem and your warranty is in effect they should do a quick turn around.
