The GO 2535M LIVE is now in stock at most Best Buy retail locations. You can check store availability on Best Buy's website.

It's available in my local BestBuy store but I wouldn't give bastards the satisfaction. They screwed me up enough in the past and I learned my lesson never to give them business again.
On a positive note, if BB finally got them, it means that Amazon just about to stock them up. WTE edition is already listed as in stock and Live is next and hopefully a bit cheaper than full retail of $350.

Given that no one knows if there will be problems with this getting it at BestBuy or Target which also has it online for store pickup would allow someone to return it to the store.

Its the smart thing to do.

You can always return to Amazon too, with a little hassle but without that ridiculous 15% restocking fee that BB charges you on returns, which comes to whopping $52 that you'd loose even if there is something wrong with this model and you don't like it. Trust me, I've tried that before and they take a hard line on returns, so now you are taking a bigger risk buying new product at BB than at Amazon, not to mention it will cost you considerably less online.
Besides, I trust mvl's opinion on this model and he says that its much more stable and less crashy then previous GO 25xx series so I'm ready to take a leap.

Just ordered my 2535 Live at thegpsstore.com for $299 + $4.95 S&H, no tax for NY here. It was in stock and I just grabbed it, even when it will show up on Amazon it will be close to retail and they now charge sales tax for NY, so trying to save some green here:thumb:

Did you receive it? Seems like the best price on the net right now, just didn't know if they're a credible vendor. Also curious about their return policy, restocking fee (?), etc. Will do a bit more homework. It might be tempting to drive over to BestBuy, play with a live unit and then bring it home -- but it looks like I'd be paying $50 extra for that tiny bit of gratification and convenience. (give or take -- have to see if they charge NJ sales tax too).

How was your overall experience with thegpsstore?

I've never had any bestbuy here in Oklahoma charge me a restocking fee on anything I've returned.

740 vs 2535M Live

I have the 740 live and really like it except for the fact that it is really slow. Seems like the processor can't handle the updated features. Does the 2535M live have more processing power? It seems like a good deal especially if I get one year of live included.

Must be a local Brooklyn NY thing because I had a fight with them more than once because of that restocking fee and unless they changed that policy recently I'm pretty sure that it is still alive down here.

The 2535LIVE is also very slow in navigating the menus, and in using the keyboard. Planning a route is lightning fast, way faster than the GO740. Other functions are a little bit faster, but not much.

The 2535 bugs look like software glitches, as sometimes things are fast, and other times they hang for 2-3 seconds. So hopefully Tomtom fixes this upcoming software updates.
