TomTom Model(s)
Carminat
Hello,

I had a 2014 Renault Megane with Tomtom Carminat.
I have created (in the car) a POI Category of my own placed all my point's there.
Now I want to get them back, I no longer have the car, just a copy of the SD card, how can I get it?

I successfully got the favorites from mapsettings.cfg, but I'm unable to find my POI Category anywhere...
I just need the name and coordinates of the places...

Can anyone help me?

Thanks,

JS

Your POIs are stored in .ov2 files.

With your SD card recognised by the PC, open TYRE, find any ov2 file on your SD card, double click.
Put your mouse on any line and see the coordinate at the bottom.
If you have a telephone number associated with that POI it will show at the bottom right.

Hello,

I have tried but say's that it's not the correct file, or it's encrypted...
I cannot open any ov2 that it's on the card.

Also I cannot find my POI "folder" name anywhere in the card...
I was expecting to find MYPOI.ov2 file, but it's not on the SD...

Thanks,

JS

"Any" ov2 file, which is really a POI category folder, should be able to be opened with Tyre.

Not counting the map, what is the size of your other SD card folders.
