Direction arrows in drivers display have gone!

Three or Four days ago the repeater arrows in the display in front of the driver stopped showing. This display is now blank.
The app is working fine on the main display.
Has anyone else had this?
I suspect Android Auto is at fault (again!), in limiting the data streamed to the car.
 
The head-up display is controlled by the built-in unit and not by the GO Navigation app.
 
Maybe, but I’ve searched the car settings and find nothing appropriate that would affect this.
My suspicion is a change in AA, as has happened before.

I’ve tried Waze - no arrows
VW’s inbuilt navigation - arrows

Next time out I will use google and will report back.
 
I logged a ticket with TT support, and here is their reply:

Thank you for the detailed email, I would like to inform you we are already informed about the error and it happened after the last update of Android Auto.

The issue has been updated with the development team with all the details. As soon as the issue is resolved an update will be released and you will be notified about the same.


We will wait and see!!
 
Arrows have returned!!!
Strangly, the TT app version hasn’t changed, neither has AA.
Oh well….normal service has resumed, which is the main thing.

If you received this answer from our support team, could you share the incident number with me? This is not the answer you should have been given. Or am I not understanding correctly that your query is about a head-up display? That's controlled by the head unit and not by our app.
 
So you work for TT?
The ticket number is 2789279.
The car is a VW Troc 2023 model with mib3 infotainment system.
Other technical info is on the ticket.
The repeater display that was not showing the info is the one in front of the driver, between the speedometer and rev counter.
I agree with you. My assumption was that the fault/change was with AA, and not the TT app. But as there is no way to contact google (!), TT support is the only way forward.
 
Thanks for the ticket number. Yes, I work for TomTom. I picked this up with the agent and it looks like there was some confusion about head up display functionality on our side. This is controlled by Android Auto and we see users reporting that the issue was fixed on their side.

Google will do the same as we do and monitor reviews to spot issues like this. ;)
