Voice Directions

I have a problem with my TOMTOM.

If I put a destination on the device it gives you voice directions as you are driving.

However if I import a route created on My Routes on the TOMTOM My Drive website it did not give me voice directions. Why is this and is there a way of turning this on?

The route being delivered to your Via is a 'track point' file. The device just follows the breadcrumbs in the track. Rather than routing from turning point to turning point (which would be a 'route point' method), where instructions would be required at each point, it attempts to follow the track points. It's not an optimal way to manage tracks, but that seems to be the only way TomTom can handle them.
