I have tried the Chatbot, words fail me.
Useless doesn't even begin to describe it.
Does anyone have information as to how it's possible to speak to a person?

Only with the chat you can talk to a Tomtom agent.

As useless as the ChatBot usually is, at some point, if you advise it that you need better help, it should provide you with other options, including an email address:

Only with the chat you can talk to a Tomtom agent.

Chat bot says " Do you want to talk to an agent"
I say " Yes"
It says you must be logged in
I say I am logged in.
It says have you forgotten your password.
I say No I am logged in.
It keeps going round and round and round.
You get NOWHERE!

Just tried this, I log in, then when I select the support option, I am logged out, There is no way to get around an endless circle of prompts. Even the prompted accessories page the bot gives is a 404.

Another solution is to send an email: https://help.tomtom.com/hc/en-gb/requests/new?ticket_form_id=360000679560

If it concerns the suction cup support for your GO 6100, buy the mounting discs https://www.tomtom.com/en_gb/navigation/accessories/mounts-docks/dashboard-mount-disks/ Then glue the support and the suction cup on the disc.

You just have to persist with the idiot chatbot; eventually it will ask if you want to send an email to support.YES!

Or if you're inside 'office hours' for TomTom time, you may get a live 'chat' person.

A responsive mod. Caramba!
I'm in hope that I'll find out why my 'lifetime' update deal has expired. I hope it's not my lifteime that they mean...

Which update - maps?

Yep - map and speed camera updates. Possibly charging stations too (but I don't have an electric car).
I changed my email address online last year (so I can't log in on the GPS), but can't change it on the GPS unless I do a factory reset (in which case my updates will be *years* out of date, unless my 'lifetime' updates are reinstated).
Tomorrow I'm going to try to download all the My Places data, so that I can restore them after a factory reset.
Fingers crossed! P.S. Colorado is my favourite (yes - UK spelling) place in the U.S.A.

If the email address on your GPS doesn't match the email address on your TomTom account, this could indeed be a problem.

You should have saved your addresses and routes before changing your email address on your TomTom account.

If you still don't receive any map updates, you should contact TomTom to have them restore your rights.
