Connecting TomTom Go 700 to pc

My windows XP will not recognize that my Go 700 is connected. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Tomtom Home per instructions from TomTom Help, but I still get the message that no compatible device is connected. Therefore I am unable to download my new maps. HELP!

When it's connected, can you go to device->change device? Does this help? Sometimes when my ONE isn't recognized, changing device makes it appear.

Use a paper clip in the reset hole in the bottom of the unit. I had to do this once with my Go700. Worked great after that.
