Just a heads up to new owners.
I just received my XL340TM but the the traffic receiver was not getting detected.
I noticed the led on the charger was off and then discovered the tip unscrewed and there was a fuse in it.
I took the fuse out checked it and it was good.
I then put it back together and it started working :) !

The fuse must not have been sitting right in it's holder.
I'm very happy I don't have to send anything back now!

FYI

Had the same issue with a friend's new unit, and after he had 'ordered' a replacement cable, we belatedly discovered your hint and bingo! it now works fine after doing the fuse wiggle. Guess with a new unit, one doesn't always think about the obvious - check the fuse!
