Charging the TT 910

With the TT910, does it only charge when it is on the Home Dock or will it also charge when you have it pluged into the Cigarette Lighter outlet in the car?

We have had similar questions before and there seems to be some disagreement. I ran my 910 completely down by accident. After a drive of several hours I checked the battery condition and it indicated full charge. Others have indicated the opposite. Go figure.

Doesn't the green light at the lop left corner indicate charging? My 910 charges when connected to the car charger cable (when the car is turned on).

It does charge when plugged to the car charger.

I think it does charge but from I hear from TomTom, the car charger only powers the unit and not charges. The HOME dock will only charge it. I can't test it out to tell.
