The solution appears to be to connect your PC/Laptop to the network via an Ethernet Cable and not to use wi-fi. My drive Connect seems to have issues maintaining a connection using wi-fi. As soon as I plugged in an Ethernet cable the download went superfast.

Tom Tom should develop a fix for that as a lot of devices are using wi-fi most of the time.

Hi, I was having the same issue but managed to get it working. Not sure if it worked due to luck or because of the things I did but wanted to post them here in case it can help anyone. I did three things, not sure which may have helped:

I was using a fresh install of Windows 10 64 bit, no issues with internet.

The error I was receiving was as follows:
Failed to download content for your Via 135 / Via 1535 / Via 280 with ID BP204........
Please consult your network settings.

The URL is as follows:

First thing I tried (I don't think this actually helped though):
1. I directly downloaded the ttpkg file by pasting the above link into my browser
2. I copied the downloaded file into the MyDrive downloads folder
(C:\Users\(user_name)\AppData\Local\TomTom\HOME3\cache)

Second thing to try (if anything, this sounds like the one that helped):
1. Open MyDrive settings by clicking the cog/gear at the top right
2. In General settings, set 'USB selective suspend setting' to 'Disabled'

Third thing I did:
1. With the GPS still connected, close MyDrive completely (X isn't enough, need to right click the tray icon and quit there)
2. Re-open MyDrive with the GPS still connected

I did all three of the above in one step so I'm not sure what fixed it.
