I've seen a number of questions asking about how to pair older Tomtom PLUS-based devices with newer Android phones.

It appears that there's an Android app out now (BlueDUN) that adds this feature into Android, without rooting.

I haven't purchased the app myself, but Google Play comments are saying that it has been successfully used with Tomtom PLUS models. You may need to purchase a data tethering (eg: hotspot) dataplan from your cellphone carrier before it works.
