Back up vs Save to computer

I understand that when you back up your device the files are saved to the device. Where are file saved when you copy to computer?

Where ever you designate in TomTom Home Tools>Preferences>Folder preferences

You should NOT use Home to do backups/restores. Too unreliable.

Use Explorer and YOU name the folder you want your unit to have its contents backed up to.

Windows Explorer IS the application you use to back up the contents of your unit to the computer.
