How to save a route

I have just bought western Europe 1.9 and can not work out how to save a route for future use, anyone know how.

You cannot save an actual route.
Like the vast majority of SatNavs you can save a destination but the route itself is always calculated when you ask the device to take you there.

All you can do to influence the route it takes is to add one or more waypoints (called "vias" by TomTom) that the route has to pass through.

You can save the destinations and via points as Favourites or POIs and the system remembers the last few as "recent destinations".

Then you just go "Navigate to... and can select any of those options
