Thanks Andy - I had been using the built-in GPS in my Mazda 3 (mutters many unkind words under breath) and then dragged out my 720 in preparation for a coming holiday 'over the dertch' to NZ.

When I discovered that the 720 would not hold charge I bought a new battery. I then managed to break the cable clip that holds the flat cable between the screen and the mother-board whilst changing the battery . Naturally this put me in the market for a new toy

Ach! Easily done. Usually it's clear how you should have done it just AFTER you've broken it.

As long as you're not above Iridium satelites' orbit you should be OK, I think, if you can pay the expense
