Hi,
This should be simple, but I cannot see where I can add an image from my computer to Tomtom Home. This is just to change the Start Up Image.

There does not seem to be a place to download a selected image and the instruction manual does not define where the image should be placed.

Whilst this is not a major problem, any advice appreciated.

Regards,

David

Use a File Manager to copy the desired photo to the photos folder on your device.

Then in page 6 of the preferences on your device, select Start-up preferences.

Click 'done' and the next screen will ask if you want to change the start-up image. Say 'yes' and select your photo. It should be in .jpg format.

Hi,
Thanks for replying to my enquiry.

The problem is I cannot find a photos folder on my device to send the photo to. Perhaps I need to create one.

Is there something I am missing here?

Your comments appreciated

Best regards,

David

Try another way.

Convert your photo to .bmp. Rename the splashw.bmp file in the root of the directory for TomTom (the root has files and folders) to splashwbak.bmp

Rename your new photo to splashw.bmp and place in the root of the device. Use the reset hole in the bottom of the device and start it up.

See what happens now.
