700 & Treo 650

I have paired my TT verision 5.44 and my 650 I can only use the phone part the TT Plus does not work. Now with version 6 the TT wants to stay connected with the phone all the time. Are there any settings that I am missing that would cause TT to want to be conected all the time?

You don't want your phone to be connect to your 700 for calls all the time?

With the 5.44 when the phone rings the phone connects with TT and it then rings on the TT and I can talk through the TT.
