Configuring Palm Treo 700WX with Verizon

I have been unable to get my Tomtom One XLS to work with my Palm Treo 700WX. I have tried many of the suggestions in this forum and elsewhere. My situation is not EXACTLY like the other examples I have found. The Bluetooth pairing worked flawlessly, although my Treo lists the Tomtom as an available device, it does not list any services (hands free, etc.). The Tomtom seems to communicate with the phone. I can see the Bluetooth icon on the Treo change whenever the Tomtom connects. But the Tomtom indicates that it can't connect.

These are my particulars:

Palm Treo 700WX with Windows Mobile 5
Verizon data plan (this usually connects to an EV network, not 3G).
Tomtom One XLS

I don't think the Tomtom needs to dial the login information - the phone does. The phone is not listed on the TomTom compatability list (go figure).
