520 go
why does my 520 truck sat nav die at exactly 11 months , got it replaced and now it's died again at 11 months on it's not as if it's cheap ,this is really poor quality from Tom Tom ,

Describe what you mean by dying.
It just shut down ,the screen is black ,it will not charge up , you would think it should last more than a year ,I hint I will try and see if I can reset the thing

That's quite unusual. I suppose we could start by asking whether a different cable/charger pair has been tried, and whether, when connected to your PC and 'turned on', whether the PC recognizes it. The former would assure we don't have external issues related to charging, and the latter would assure that it isn't just an issue with a display that has somehow died.

I will try another charging lead later . And also try connecting to the laptop ,
I have looked for a reset button , but can not find one , strange the same thing happened last year ,not really good enough , ok if I only spent £20 or £30 , but it was £269 so I would expect it to last longer than 11months ,just wish I could find the receipt ,

A reset is done by holding the power button about 20 seconds till you hear the drum sounds. Then let go.

A big thank you for the reset , it worked and the charge lead is working fine ,thank you all for the advice ,
