I can't get my TT 550 to commence navigating in 3D view, despite checking the box "Swith to 3D view when following a route" in 2D/3D preferences. Sometimes it goes to 3D, but usually not.
It seems to make a difference if I select "Clear Route" when I get to my destination, which automatically puts the TT into 2D view.
De-selecting the options seems to have the effect of not switching to 2D view when the route is cleared, which is not what the menu option would suggest. However this keeps the unit in 3D mode, which is what I really wanted all along.
I know I can just tap the 2D/3D toggle on the screen, but the point is I shouldn't have to if the TT did what the menu implies.
