XLIQ vs XL Classic

Hello people

After some advice and help from the forum I will need to buy a new satnav

I am looking at either the XL IQ or the XL classic

would anyone please have views on which to go for (based in UK use for work)

I don't see an XL Classic model listed but I believe supermod Mikealder suggested the XL IQ Routes Regional Edition to you in a different thread.

XL Classic has Bluetooth so it can pair to a mobile phone for data supplying traffic information via GPRS if you pay for the subscription, to be honest the XL IQ is a much better device and can be made to use the Text To Speech voices if you feel like messing around with it (as supplied TTS won't be active, but its not too difficult to get it working). As for traffic information with the XL IQ you can purchase the Mini USB RDS-TMC receiver although the IQ Routes feature rather negates the need for traffic information IMHO - Mike
