Public Service Announcement about "Work at home" opportunities

With the economic situation being what it is, everyone's looking for a way to make some extra money. Some criminals are counting on that, in fact:

Please beware of so-called "work at home" or "home-based business" opportunities. If you come across an opportunity to reship merchandise, process checks from customers, or are approached about a mystery shopper opportunity in which you receive a check and must send some amount back and/or purchase items to be sent away for "quality inspections," it's either illegal goods trafficking or some sort of fraud. You can go >>here<< to read more about these well-known scams.

There is also information there for how to report scam spam so that the origin of the email can be traced and reported to local law enforcement.

There are legitimate work from home opportunities out there, some of them are even profitable, but please be careful out there.

Thanks for the tip! Always be weary of what seems to be a too good to be true opportunity.
