TomTom Home 2.2 aborts on installation

Trying to update my old GO720 and 730, Home 2.11 reports that it will no longer work and I must install a new version, but this new version aborts on installation with no error message. OS is Windows 10. The wizard gets just a few seconds into the installation step and then aborts. Any ideas on this?
