Without IQ??

This may be a dumb question from a newbie - but is there any way TT Start (or other model) will route plan without IQ? i.e. Like our friends at google who will allow you to plan with major roads only - OR NOT.

I ask because TT consistently sends me on the shortest route NEVER the fastest. It will avoid a motorway if going through a housing estate is shorter - This doesn't make sense - as it's making ALL my journeys longer!

I thought the idea of IQ was to be quicker not shorter!

Well, a Start model always assumes fastest. If it's taking you where you think it's not as fast as another route, it may have IQ historical data that assumes indeed the route it's planned is fastest.

Full menued models have the option to plan their routes using a variety of chices: Fastest; Shortest; Avoid Highways, etc.

IQ routing only works with Fastest routing.
