will tripmaster work on 340xl 7 what problems

I'm very dissapointed to discover there is no trip computer- I can't beleive somehting so essential to a GPS could not be there.

I've read the Tripmaster page at Le Web Bazar !!! Tripmaster !!! - looks good - but will it work on my xl340?

If it will work, is it correct that i won't get any audible speed warnings ? thats a bummer.

Or Is it possible to start it then put it in the background, so I can use all of the xl340 functions? I don't especially want to view the trip computer during a journey, only afterwards.

Appreciate any advice on this

I don't have XL340 but I strongly believe it will work ok with TM.

Ans: you can enable or disable that option.

I have downloaded the Tripmaster file for v9 and also another file 'plugins_hook' -

please can anyone confirm that I need the plugins_hook file?

I'm not entirely sure what to do, would appreciate someone walking this newbie through the procedure - I have installed a lot of apps on my PC , just don't want to stuff up my new Tom Tom!
