via 1435 hangs up

Hello support, My computer tells me that there are 2 items to download for my via 1435. After I download
the items they start to install. It gets to 99% and then stops. I have waited 3 hours for it to finish. I did
this three times. Can anyone tell me what is going on ??.
 
What we've found works much of the time is to unplug/replug and see if the process completes. Sound brutal to do it in the middle of an update, but often works out.
TT is aware that this sometimes happens and is still working on it.
What two items were you updating?
 
One of the items was map share. I do not know the other item. I tried unplug method but
it did not work.
 
On my 1430/1435 if I reset my TomTom to factory settings. Would I be able
to download new maps since I have lifetime map updates ??. This might clear out
any software glitches.
 
Yes. You only lose custom settings with a factory reset. You don't lose the lifetime maps functionality.
