Using my phone's voice recognition software.

After much headache, I finally got my Verizon Samsung SCH-U740 to pair with my go 720.

What bothers me now is that rather than dialing a number with the GPS, I really only want to access my phone's voice dialing function. This is what a regular full-featured bluetooth headset does, so why won't TomTom do it? Any words of wisdom?

Because it isn't a regular full-featured Bluetooth headset! If you want voice recognition of phone numbers, you will have to use a headset.
