On an iPhone the pairing must be done twice (or so I am told).

Do the devices even attempt to pair? Can one see the other (does it show up in a list of 'available' devices?)

Yes, on my iPhone it shows and on my devise it shows that I’m paired. But, when you see the small icon at top of screen with also Wi-fi, etc, the little car symbol is not connected

WiFi takes precedence over Bluetooth. If both are available, WiFi takes over and there is no Bluetooth connection.

As simple as that. Thank you. Beats me why it’s not mentioned in any booklet/manual.
    Again thanks
