TT 550 live

ihi all,
i have a new 550 live, when i plan a route no voice can be heard, for example.after 600 yards turn left etc.but if i click on the screen by were to turn the volume up it speaks.but i cant keep doing this while im driving.and there is nothing in the book telling me how to fix this problem,does anyone have any ideas how to solve this. cheers..

What voice do you have selected in the unit? What preferences do you have checked under Voice Preferences?

i have sorted it now.i had to look through the menu and change preferences, why cant it come with the voice already turned on..anyway thanx a lot

It *is* supposed to keep the voice preference from session to session. You weren't connected to Home at one point, were you (and then lost the voice preference upon disconnect)?
