Council has changed our street number 4 times in the last year due to subdivisions.The result is that our property is shown up about 1 mile from where it actually is.How do I get this fixed ?

I guess the best place to start would be to recall your council and vote in a few new ones with some sense (Is that hard to do in Sydney?).

Barring that as an option, changes to maps are reported here: http://www.tomtom.com/mapshare/tools/

However, be aware that it can take several map cycles (each 3 months long) for a change to actually propagate down to a released map.

For your own purposes, it is easy enough to mark "Home" with "My current position", but for those visiting your house, you'll just have to give them the old "Turn left past the second white house" description.
