TomTom Model(s)
XL N14644
Hello. This is my first post here so sorry if im breaking any rules.

My TomTom is stuck on logo. Pressing the button just switches on and then turns off the device. I tried pressing it fast 3 times like in the offical videos from TomTom on youtube but no luck. I tried connecting it to the laptop but its not recognized by the offical software.

I think it is a firmware/software problem. Is there anything else I can do to fix the device?

Thank you!

@dhn
That identifies it as a Start 20 / Via 1400 or 1405, Nav3

I'm going to guess that in Albania, they call that model a Start 20.
What happens when you hook it up to your PC with MyDrive running on your PC? Is your device recognized (does it show as connected?)

I bought this is Netherlands and it only worked for few hours and then stuck on logo. Maybe it dosen't work in Albania.

When connecting it, it dosen't appear in the devices list and it dosen't get recognized by MyDrive.

I have read that this might be some issue with the firmware. Is there any way how to reset the device? Anything related to navcore?

Regardless of where purchased, it should at least come up to a menu system, even if it should turn out that the maps aren't quite what you expected.

Are you the original owner, and when was the date of purchase?

If we can't get it recognized by your computer, it may be difficult to get the firmware updated.

A friend of mine bought this in Netherlands about a 6 months ago, when he came back in Albania, it didn't work for a single day. Should I open it apart? Is there any reset button or eeprom or nand chip that I might reprogram?
