Tomtom xl 4et03 looking for advice to install USA maps

Hi all. Thanks for any advise given in advance.

I have a tomtom xl 4et03 and would like to know where i can get USA maps to download from also best options to install the maps.

i appreciate any help on this.

Make sure the country flag is set to US.

Any maps for the device--if available--are obtained using Home when the device is connected. Selected Purchase maps.

also im looking to upload Free USA maps is possible.

any suggestions on download for this model.

Free?!! What are you implying?

So we know going forward, "GH" serial indicates OP owns an old XL IQRoutes2, 1GB internal memory, and NO SD or uSD card support, so he's going to be out of luck for new maps anyway. 980 is likely the end of the road.

There are no 'free' maps available for TomTom units. Unlike Garmin, where one can add 3rd party maps such as an OSM (Open Street Maps) map, this is not the case for TomTom units.
