TomTom tech to set driver insurance premiums

Interesting, greal. I see some concerns about info sharing coming out of this ..........
 
It's all in their privacy policy in their FAQs.

But interestingly, in the main blurb, they don't mention that they look at the data at all! (which they do) They just say YOU can look at it. :rolleyes:
 
It would be fascinating to see what parameters are being used that a GPS can provide to determine what is safe and what is not. Following someone's rear bumper at a distance of 10 feet on the M25 isn't the sort of thing that either the old telemetry nor new GPS methods are going to detect. Of course, with typical speeds on the M25, 10 feet is probably fine. What was I thinking?
