I cannot upload any maps onto my tom tom One, i have tried backup and reloading - no luck....i have tried restoring - no luck install to internal memory i get message - error writing file

Is the map you are trying to install already on your computer? If so, maybe info in this link might help:

There are various versions of a TomTom One. Identify yours using this link:

In which case you might want a manual backup, not Home. See here:

Then, depending upon your model, format your device using FAT32, not quickformat. Then restore the contents from the computer.
