tomtom one xl postcode problems

hi ,just purchased secondhand xl and it will only let me put in half postcode,can this be fixed and there is no memerey card can i use a new sd 2gb

Being where you are located, I believe there is a postal code file that you can obtain for Great Britain. Not trying to brush you off, but if you post the same question in the TomTom Go section of this (UK) Forum, you'll get a better reply.
