Now I know that there are quite a few of us out there that have had update problems & "No maps found!!" on their TomToms recently and I've been getting quite sick of it. Now I don't know what made me think of it again, but this fix is a blast from the past & It Does Work! I haven't had to use this for a long time. I thought every software developer had gotten over this problem. Oh well, here it is.......
This fix is Real easy.
Step One: Write down any updates from TomTom on your computer. Now delete them.
Step Two: Disable your antivirus. (Just make sure you don't have your browser running.)
Step Three: Re-download any updates you had prior & get your map updates by the using the latest map guarantee link in TomTom Home.
Step Four: Select disconnect device from TomTom Home & upon restarting your TomTom, your maps and other stuff should all be there.
Step Five: Remember to restart Your Anti-Virus.
It seems that TomTom's updates have gone back in the past and are affected by the anti-virus programs. Good Luck!!!
