Once again the update doesn't work!!!!

Don't bother updating, uninstall and reinstall

What is happening or not happening when you try to download?

It downloads starts and freezes at the splash page.

And why is it such a hogging program

A) installs itself as an auto start service
B) gives itself an entry in start up of MSconfig
C) When you close the program it stays alive and you have to exit via the icon near the clock

IS IT THAT VITAL TO THE OPERATION OF WINDOWS????

I accepted the download and got the usual message, "TomTomHOMERuntime.exe failed with error 0: Process failed to start up correctly.

If this problem persists, please reinstall from:
http://www.tomtom.com/home"

Before I did that, I rebooted the PC and it worked fine afterwards.

TomTom can't make home start up properly if someone's life depended on it! Ever since the latest round of updates they have made, HOME has started up extremely slow for me.
