TomTom GO Essential - No voices found

Very occasionally and usually after a recent Speed Camera update, when I power up the device it comes up as usual but then displays an error saying that there are no voices at all installed. So far, I have fixed the problem by simply powering off and on again and the device comes up as normal, but with the first voice in the list (Malcolm) selected, rather than my choice, Serena. Has anyone else experienced this transient loss of all voices?

I don't like the Malcolm computer voice, only because of the strange and annoying way it pronounces the word "right" with a bizarre mangled vowel sound in the middle. As I invariably turn right out of my road when going anywhere, I get irritated by Malcolm at the start of every journey!

If there are no more voices on your GPS with Mydrive connect, you must be able to download it again.

The voices are still installed on the Sat NAV. I only have to reboot it and they instantly reappear, as if by magic.
