TomTom GO 400 end of traffic

Hi, I’m using GO400 for more than 5-7 years for now. There were no issues but few days ago without any warnings traffic stop working. In menu there is information that subscription is needed. I was convinced that both map updates and traffic from phone is lifetime free. Isn’t it? Then how long it was? Or is GO400 discontinued and that mean subscription is needed? Thanks for any tips.

The 400 was released 11 years ago. After that came the updated 520 (smallest screen was 5" then) in 2018. So you must have obtained one of the last of the GO 400 series.

Yes, it was advertised with "Lifetime TomTom Traffic via Smartphone", and this is still being provided.

Are you seeing the traffic data on the MyDrive phone app, and it's just not transferring to your device, or are you not even seeing traffic on the phone?

GO 400 has maps and lifetime traffic via your smartphone. In case of problem, contact Tomtom customer service.

When GPS is connected to phone traffic status was like: „expired”. When open details message was: subscription expired 1.04.2024.
As I’m during trip and need this feature I bought 1 month subscription. But as device is quite old, not responsive as years ago for me it’s not worth to invest more into this device. I would rather consider one of new 6” item with free of charge traffic (through phone). But if traffic can be fixed then it can be still in use for some time.
I need contact support then.
