I have had the above satnav for my truck about a year now. It was not compatible with my Samsung s20 so i could not use the phone to plan routes. After doing some updates it now shows the phone and satnav connected on mydrive. When i plan the routes at home it works perfectly. Could be because the wifi. Away from home, although phone and satnav show connected, when i plan a route on the phone on mydrive it says send to device. It still does not go to the satnav.
Does anyone know why this does not work as they are both connected.

This sounds like a glitch with the mobile MyDrive app. Have you tried Plan.TomTom.com in a browser on your phone? It uses the same TomTom account.

Thanks for the reply. I have now tried your suggestion and it does seem to work but very hit and miss. Seems to work sometimes and others just does not seem to send the route even though both devices show signed in to my drive.

I guess you're selecting to sync with the device right after saving? You can also return to your routes and then select to sync.

I have now changed my phone to the samsung s23 and the phone and tomtom expert are show connected via Bluetooth. On mydrive it does send the rout from the phone to the device, but i am unable to get the phone calls or messages. On mydrive it say scan the barcode on device but it does not appear on the device. On mydrive all the services are greyed out and always says device out of range. Why does it not send the barcode to scan so i can access all my services. Would appreciate some help.

Normally the GO expert does not have the hands-free option.

Well that would probably explain why its not available on the mydrive app. I thought being the Expert it should have the option available. It also does not receive the mydrive barcode to pair.

I have a TomTom GO Premium and a GO 6000. My mobile is a Samsung Galaxy A34 with MyDrive app. installed.
When planning a new destination (Place) on the phone, to then send the new Place to either of these TomTom devices BOTH need to be registered to, and in range of my home WiFi router for the transfer to succeed.
The transfer connection is, phone-WiFi router-TomTom device, NOT phone-TomTom device.
When away from home, it would be necessary to register both devices to an available WiFi router (say, in your hotel).

It is also possible to log on to the TomTom Route Planning website to create new Places. Then provided your TomTom device is set to sync via a TomTom account, the transfer should work.

I should have included in my Reply above that I don't have my mobile phone registered to the TomTom devices. I have my phone linked to my car via Bluetooth for phone calls and messages, so that I can use the car steering wheel mounted controls.

GO 6000 does not have wi-fi if you plan a route on Mydrive you will receive the route via the GPS SIM card.

In Tomtom service your phone must be connected to Mydrive

"GO 6000 does not have wi-fi ....". Yes that's correct, hence the transfer of Places via the TomTom RoutePlanner, with an account and of course a PC connected.

You don't need to connect your GPS to your computer to receive your planned routes on Mydrive.

A computer is required to enter the letters that spell out the new Place name on the Route Planning application on the TomTom website, so that it can be located and saved into the device account. Only then will it be Sent to the account registered TomTom device, via the synchronise feature, provided this is activated.
