TOMTOM 920 hard reset?

i have to send my 920 back after 1 week & would like to do a hard reset on it 1st.
how do i do it?

Change Preferences/ Restore factory defaults should be enough to clear anything you have added in way of home locations or passwords etc - Mike

before i reset it how do i find the map version?

Switch it on then tap the sat strength meter (lower right corner) followed by the version box, the resultant screen will offer you lots of information about the device and whats loaded including the map version - Mike

it only tells me v 8.351 which i assume is for the software

I'll tell you........

Your map is over two years old. The current map version is 835 and 840 is due within a week or so.

thought it was. typical its a refurb. they said the maps are upto date at time of refurb.
looks like i have to spend more money
