Hi,

updated my 930 to latest last week, now when I switch on...boots up goes to log on graphic hangs, sometimes reboots or just switches off. If I connect to Tom Tom Home on computer...boots up , does maps updates and allows making routes.
Can anyone suggest a fix??

Danny

battery is on its way out, have to have connected to in car charger or the computer..battery last about 2 mins when fully charged.

Well, that is the similar to mine although it gives me a battery alarm within a minute when not plugged in.
Hadn't bothered me up to now as it was either in the cradle on the desk or connected to the CLA.
Lately I have too much stuff on the desk but only 2 USB cables and if I switch around without first changing cables it balks.

sat at computer now with 930 in cradle connected to TomTom Home, updated map share...now planning route to Yorkshire I did in October...works perfectly...take it off cradle...plug into mains...changes to log on then hangs...turns off then boots again and then hangs again...switches of then cycles again to log on screen.

Don't know how you do that unless you have a mains to miniUSB charger (which were available at the time).

Have you tried, after programming a route, to power button off while connected to HOME (uproar by the moderators about not shutting down properly). The take the device to the car, plug into an 'always on' cigarette lighter (or start the car if not always on), then push the power button and see if the programmed route is offered.

Have tried all sorts It appears only to switch on ad load ma when connected to mains power..will not work at all
when connect to car.

Car charger may be faulty then. Do other devices charge ok in the car? Can you try it in another auto?
